That Inspirational Girl Series: #38 Amazing Grace

As much as I like to ramble on, sometimes I just really want to hear from you. Today I'm wondering about your spirituality and what you believe. Do you have a strong faith? Do you believe we are all part of a bigger plan?

Have you ever noticed that when things are the most difficult, then it's usually the hardest time to pray? Do you find comfort in prayer? Meditation? Have you had any important prayers answered? Did you receive the answer you expected?

Has your faith or belief system been altered or changed throughout the years? If so, how?

That Inspirational Girl Series: #37 Golden White Décor

Lauren and Marika of Golden White Décor make the perfect inspirational girls, don't you think? Bubbly California blondes, with sunny dispositions, and a tremendous fashion sense. Honestly, they make me long to be 20 years younger, graced with their stunning looks and blessed to live in dreamy California. Sigh...

Is there a blog that you enjoy that you would like to recommend to us all?

That Inspirational Girl Series: #36 Pacific + Prada

I can't even look at a boat without turning green. The ferry to Nantucket is as about the extent of what I can handle, and the minute the harbor is in view, I want off. My daughter wants us to go on a girls-only cruise with some mutual friends. I have visions of queasiness at the very thought of my bed rockin' while the room spins. I've heard many different opinions from people...some who insist you can't feel a thing, others who say they were sick their entire trip, and that taking Ginger pills will keep motion sickness at bay.

Do you get sea sick? What's your opinion on cruises causing motion sickness? I'm thinking if the bed's a rockin' don't come knockin' because there is sure to be vomit involved!

That Inspirational Girl Series: #35 Confetti + Champagne

This past Saturday it was warm enough to open the windows and let in some fresh air. There I was perched on the sofa, working on a blog design, when I heard the most magical sound... yes, the ice cream man was in the hood. I still get excited. The ice cream man is right up there with Santa in my eyes. He preys on my sweet tooth and I react like Pavlov's dog to his musical Heaven on wheels.

Apparently, this gene was passed down to my daughter. I counted to three and right on cue, my daughter and her friends, came piling out of her room yelling, "Mom, the ice cream man is here!" They dashed out the door barefoot, in pursuit of flavored Italian Ice to the sound of my voice yelling, "Get me something!!"

Have you outgrown your love of the ice cream man? What is your favorite treat?

That Inspirational Girl Series: #34 Stylized Life

via
Do you follow every fashion trend? Do you always have to have the next "it" item?  Are you letting glossy fashion magazines dictate your personal style? If so, your style might not be very personal at all.

I'm a big advocate of wearing what you love and what  you feel the most beautiful in. If an item speaks to you, buy it - it must suit your personal style or you wouldn't be drawn to it. Don't worry whether or not the item is the latest issue of Vogue or Elle. The most fashionable woman didn't follow the latest trends, they created them. Take Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel, and Jackie O. for instance...the grace in which they carried off their individuality made them fashion icons.

You are unique, you are beautiful, and you only have one life. Don't we have enough people telling us what to do? It's your life to style as you please. Dress accordingly.

That Inspirational Girl Series: #33 Life Is But A Dream

via
I do believe that we can't be entirely happy unless we are true to ourselves. This sometimes means rowing against the current of others expectations of us is entirely necessary. We have one lifetime and it should be spent living out our dream and not someone else's. Can you think of a time in your life where you had to row against the current in order to be happy?
