Hello, Everyone! I've decided to share with you my favorites for Summer today. I am most definitely smitten with summer! There are so many reasons to love this time of year... the carefree schedule, trips to the ocean, dining al fresco on a summer evening... I could go on and on but without further adieu, here is what has me enamored this season.
Favorite Vacation Spot: Nantucket Island
If you have followed me for any length of time, then you know all about my love affair with Nantucket. Seriously, everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. I love it so much in fact, that I can totally envision living there one day as a local. The minute you step off the ferry you feel as if you have just stepped into a storybook. The town is charming with tree lined cobblestone streets, upscale boutiques, and restaurants that have attracted some of the most renowned chefs in the world. There are uncluttered, pristine beaches, bike trails that stretch the length of the island, rose covered cottages, and acres of protected conservation land.
Favorite Summer Outfit
I am all about casual this time of year, but that doesn't mean I don't wan to look cute! This is a look you will most likely find me in. A pair of shorts paired with a cute cotton top and flip flops is about as dressed up as I'm getting. I where my Tiffany key year round, it was a Mothers Day gift, so it has sentimental meaning. I like to add flair with one statement piece and anything by Kate Spade will do the trick just fine. Are you as enamored with her book inspired clutches as I am?
Favorite Summer Drink
I am crediting, Jill, over at
A Beautiful Life for getting me hooked on these babies from Starbucks. So good. They are tart but very refreshing and taste better unsweetened. Low in calories and caffeine free.

This is just a no brainer. It is so quick to toss together and tastes perfect with tomatoes fresh from the garden. Perfect as a side dish or quick lunch.

Favorite Summer Scent
I can't stomach heavy scents in the heat. They give me a headache. I love
Saint which has notes of Vanilla, Musk and Sandalwood. I always keep a rollerball in my purse. I also like
Almond Cookie, by Carols Daughter. This too has Vanilla and Sandalwood but has notes of Almond as well. Good enough to eat. Yum.

Everyone, stop what you are doing and run to Sephora.

Beach Product Must Haves
Protect, protect, protect. I spent way too much time as a teen at the beach and am now wishing I could turn back the clock. (Yes, Mom, I should have listened).
