“Elegance is a glowing inner peace. Grace is an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful. Mystery is a hidden laugh always ready to surface! Glamour only radiates if there is a sublime courage & bravery within: glamour is like the moon; it only shines because the sun is there.” - C. Joybell C.
How is everyone? I have been MIA for a bit because it has just been so busy around here! Can't wait to visit your blogs to see what all of my friends have been up to. Hope you are all enjoying the official beginning of summer.
I believe inner peace is something we all constantly try to obtain, and we often find it in a hidden laugh that mysteriously surfaces.
There have been cutbacks since the divorce. Everything has been broken down into want vs. need.
So, the other night, I was sitting on the front steps, tossing a tennis ball to the dog, who was too dumb to bring it back. I looked to my right to see a jungle of weeds. Looked to my left... you guessed it jungle number two. You Tarzan, me Jane.
I'm feeling anything but inner peace as I begin to yank out my frustration on the weeds. I begin with some smaller weeds, then move onto the weeds that are the approximate height of a third grader. I came across one weed that was so big and so thick, I had to pull so hard I almost fell over. It was a freakin' beanstalk. I was no longer Tarzan, I was now Jack, on his way to meet the Giant. It struck me silly and sure enough, I fell into a fit of laughter. My hidden laugh had surfaced, restoring me right back to inner peace. I need a condo. Period.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend filled with laughter (and hopefully no weeding)! xoxo
