color soiree: charcoal + camel

This first photo spoke to me. I've got a thing for cowl necks, camel jackets, tights, and messy ponytails with a bit of height to them. Give me her outfit and trade the bike in for a Vespa and I'd be a happy girl.

What do you think of this color combination? I'm kinda liking how the warm camel tones create a striking balance against the harsher gray.

  1. Definitely a gorgeous combination, not one I wear personally (no particular reason though) but still very beautiful together.

  2. I love the outfit in the first photo - I wear a lot of camel and grey but rarely together - thanks for the idea. It certainly warms up dark grey especially in those last two photos - sleek and stylish.

  3. I love this colour combination. It seems to be the perfect combination of summery warmth from the caramel and classy cool of wintery grey. The outfit is gorgeous too :) I think you need to choose which colour will be the most prominent in your decor scheme though, and then use the other as simply a contrast/highlight.

  4. I have never worn them together but you have me rethinking that. Think its very elegant though I would never have thought to wear them together. Have a nice day.

Interesting post........I wear a lot of grey and camel, but not together, BUT I do combine the two with interiors! Strange......

  15. Hi Debby;)

Black, grey, and camel dominate my wardrobe. I live in a grey city so perhaps that has rubbed off on me?! Grey is a basic like black and works with either. Beautiful combination that has a very sophisticated, chic look.

  16. Debby,
I love the combo and it was nice timing since we're looking for upholstery fabric for our family room that will be compatible some camel in the area rug and taupe paint on the walls. So pretty.
