cloaked in an ethereal embrace

Good morning, Loves. Is 2013 off to a good start for you? I hope so! As you can see from my last post, I spent most of 2012 living on faith alone. What happens when our dreams are backed by faith and we believe good things are waiting in the wings for us? We give ourselves permission to take chances, to move forward, to be happy, and expectant. Our unrelenting faith cloaks us in an ethereal embrace and lets the heavens go to work on our behalf.

Take, Anita, for example. She gave up her 9 to 5 and her security to follow her passion of creating art. She started out with an Etsy shop, and now is creating commissioned works of beauty.

Tina opened an online shop, believing that it would be a success since she only sells what she loves. You will find her products proudly displayed in the homes of clients around the world, as they too support Tina's vision, and also love what she sells.

When I decided to start a travel series on Inspired, not only did I believe it was possible, but I believed that my vision would be blessed. I'm excited to say that 2013 will begin with reviews of spectacular hotels in major cities.

So, why not have faith? Why not trust that success is doable, happiness is an attitude, taking chances opens closed doors, and creating a life we love may not happen overnight, but IT IS POSSIBLE.

Dream on, my friends. xoxo

  1. Debbie i always feel like you are in my mind when you write your posts as they generally seem to resonate with how i feel and serve as the necessary inspiration. 2012 was an interesting year for me and i certainly need to live through faith this year. So many things that i want and wish to happen have an indefinite timeframe. And in other scenarios, i am either doubting my abilities or just not accepting myself.

I definitely need to have more faith this year, have a positive outlook and leave it in God's hands

    Happy New Year

  2. Dear Debby,
There are no coincidences. This post is what I needed to read. I am on the precipice. You have reminded me of Anita, Tina and now you. It takes courage, and faith. I must always remember to ask God what His plan is before I either rush in, or hold back.
Thank you Debby, and good luck on an incredible 2013

  3. Hi Debby, first thank you for the wonderfully sweet mention, so unexpected and so flattering. You my dear I think are going to have a fabulous year, as you pointed out listening to your heart and just going for it will eventually bring you to where you are meant to be.....you are following your heart and dreams and I think its going to take you to many wonderful places (literally and figuratively) I have faith in you:) I always say to myself I will never know if I don't try and I committed to taking one big plunge last year (online store) and did it....thankfully its turned out to be loads of fun, and work, but fun work:)
I am committing to another challenge this year....every year I am getting braver and more willing to just take a chance. Remember...you miss 100% of the shots you never take.....so cheers to you, me and everyone else who is sitting on a dream! May 2013 be the best year yet:)

  4. OMG.

    WOW....wait....

As I opened up your page, I was smiling, nodding in agreement about what you are saying about faith. Without it, we would not dare to fly and ever find out that we were given wings. Faith leads us into more hope and through it all, a thread of love, stronger that LIFE itself binds us ALL together.

THEN, I see the links. I just came from Tina's blog, where I had taken the time to read the little subtitle under her header...and I just thought to myself, "WOW, Tina started out on this journey, and look where it has taken her...her own shop, oodles of dear friends..." THEN I thought of myself, and saw you had linked to me.

Debby, I am convinced that nothing, NOTHING can separate us from the LOVE OF GOD, that has given us every ounce of energy, breath, hope and desire to live this life to the fullest. YOU are a blessing and you have so much that you have given to us who know you and love you. THANK YOU DEAR HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. All you have to do Debby is believe in yourself. I started my business 24 years ago and put everything I had into it and today my dream is a reality. All you need is a dream and the guts to chase it. Remember God helps those who help themselves.

  18. You're so inspiring. Sometimes I feel so trapped in my life but I guess my blog and my laptop offer me the escapes I need. And sometimes I think I have a dream but don't really want what I think I want. Do you ever have that?

  19. You are an incredible woman Debby. Such an inspirational one in my life. I agree....Happiness is an attitude. One of my favorite sayings is "Fake it till you make it" and I have applied that many times to my life and it truly does work. Having Faith is a must. I am a dreamer. It keeps me motivated and energized and gives me the zest for life. Dreams do come true! A wonderful post my dear for the first week of our new year. XO

  22. Happy New Year, Debby!!! I love that you dreamed big and that those dreams are coming true!!! I think sometimes we don't dream big because we fear we might fail. We but if we don't dare to dream at all, we most assuredly will.

Thank you for inspiring me with all you do and share!
All the best to you in 2013!!!
