Style Me Pretty has shared a yummy, French Pear Martini, recipe, just in time for us to add a signature drink to our New Years celebration.
I own a very similar Bow Ring from Brighton - it's actually my favorite. Mine is not quite as large, and it's a lot more wearable for every day. I love it because it's the perfect companion to a shiny coat of red nail varnish. Throw in a few sequins and voila - you will not be easily forgotten.
Wishing you all a fun and safe celebration!!
How do you plan on welcoming in 2013? Will you have a quiet celebration at home, or an evening spent tearing up the town?

Wishing you a wonderful 2013!
ReplyDeleteI'm still torn, a night out in the country pub or careering around the castle in Edinburgh - then again, a cosy night in, would be just perfect.
Debby I hope you have a wonderful New Year's! We're staying in and having a nice meal and will wake up to a New Year. We are going out tonight to start the celebration with friends!

Hi Debby! I love that saying.....and a pear martini, YES!!! Well......we were supposed to be in California, lounging pool side right about now but alas it was not in the cards, husband came down with pneumonia. Hopefully now that hes on strong antibiotics he will be on the mend soon. Then plan b was to go to Boston to a party his sister is having.....very up in the air, not looking super likely as I don't want him to push himself, so it might just be a quiet night at night. Today we are going to decide. How about you? Anything exciting cooking? Wishing you the best 2013 you could ever dream of having, hopefully filled with love, happiness, joy and good health!
ReplyDeleteGood morning gorgeous one!
ReplyDeleteI love this saying that I too discovered on Pinterest the other day. Glitter, whether in clothing, art or jewels, is an unforgettable embellishment. Kindness and love too are the everlasting glitter and glow of a life that will always be remembered, and YOU have been a shining example. Glitter on my dear one, thank you for a great 2012. Anita
Oh Debby, I love your new LABEL! That crown is super.
ReplyDeleteWell my dear, you have opened up you heart and home to us and for that, I will always have fond memories of 2012. Here is to US in 2013! Anita
Fabulous saying!!! and gorgeous photos to compliment it. We are having a quiet evening in, celebrating the New Year with our precious furbabies. Wishing you and your children a 2013 filled with positive abundance. Hugs, C. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year sweet one!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very bright 2013... I would say you are off to a good start!
Love,
Terri
I LOVE this!! My boss always said we work for Avon so we can wear sequins and glitter every day and no one will think twice about it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Debby...as usual! May 2013 bring you twice the joy you bring to others with your lovely blog, Val
I've never heard that saying but have now fallen in love with it! We are at the beach relaxing and enjoying doing nothing…it is still chilly here but nice to be away. Our youngest son and his girlfriend are with us and Holly and Brad will drive over from New Orleans on New Year's Day. We will watch fireworks at midnight at the Wharf here and go out to a wonderful seafood dinner before that. Nothing too wild and crazy but at least it will be a celebration! I hope this New Year finds you healthy, wealthy and wise! And I don't mean wealthy materially ( although that wouldn't be so bad either!) But wealthy in friends, family, etc….you are such a dear and I want this to be an incredible year for you! Happy 2013, Debby!
ReplyDeleteOh I agree I hope I leave a trail of glitter....wishing you a happy new year and btw LOVE the new header!

Hi Debby! That first photo is so pretty and very festive! The martini sounds yummy and is a reminder to get planning yet another meal. I've had a houseful and my mom is here with her dog .. until the second which is my first day back at the office. House is a mess and I'm starting to feel a little partied out but I'm sure after a cocktail I will be ready to party. Id love a little spa day:)
ReplyDeleteHave a fun New Yesrs celebration and wishing you all the best in 2013!

Debby,
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious! And I do love sparkly and shiny!
We usually spend New Year's Eve in, quiet and laid back.
I just knew you would have gorgeous images today, Debby. Thank you for all the inspiration this year and wishing you every happiness in 2013!!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote...and glitter! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeletePerfect note to end the year on...especially wearing a gorgeous bow ring! Have a wonderful evening and I will see you in 2013!!
ReplyDeleteDebby,
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...there's nothing like a little glitter to make us feel ready for a celebration. We entertained some close friends this NYE as we do each year. Very fun.
Happy New Year, may 2013 be a positive year for us all.

I bought myself a pair of bow earrings this Christmas, I saw them on someone else anf thought they were adorable ( we are the gift!). My 4th grade grandson bought his 'girl' friend a bow ring ( I think mom have helped) she is an adorable young lady and wears hers on her fore finger next to her thumb.. sweet Blesses and Healthy 2013 to ALL.
