Saturday after work I decided I would finally tackle my banister. I am usually a good little elf, and have my Christmas décor up by the first of December. I learned that when you head out mid-month for ribbon, you are bound to be faced with slim pickins'. Just as I was about to leave the store empty handed, I spotted the last two spools of oversized red ribbon. Yes! Mission accomplished.
Sunday we had a mother-daughter date planned with friends of ours. We headed out to, The Kringle Candle Company, in Bernardston, MA. It was a festive wonderland filled with heavenly scented candles, holiday décor, a toy shop filled with vintage toys, and a chocolate cottage that made my heart skip a beat. The property is home to The Farm Table restaurant. A welcoming spot with open-hearth ovens, candle lit tables, fireplaces, and local organic food. Yes, please! The food was mouth-watering good.
The best part? I got to see Santa. A girl never outgrows Santa. He was my first love. He makes me laugh, I admire his big generous heart, respect his jolly outlook on life, and the fact that he shares my love of reindeer is just icing on the cake.
Have you had any holiday-inspired excursions this season? Where did you go? What is your favorite place to visit to put you into the holiday spirit?
Did you enter my cookbook giveaway yet? You can enter to win a copy of At My French Table by Jane Webster. It's a gorgeous display of photography and delicious food. Good luck! xoxo

Debby your staircase is almost as beautiful as you are! Glad you had such a nice weekend.
