Nothing gets a bigger birthday smile than your 12 pound dog hiking up the stairs, balloon tied to collar, ready for a tail waggin' good time.
Logan's birthday was Sunday, and her BFF and I got up early, squeezed as many balloons as we thought we could fit into my Mini Cooper, and stopped at the local coffee shop for bagels and coffee concoctions.
We tiptoed into the house and realized the birthday girl was already awake. We quickly set about lighting candles, selecting music, toasting bagels and preparing for a flurry of discarded bows and wrapping paper, along with birthday hugs and wishes. We decided the mutt needed a balloon and he obliged, humoring me as I tied one to his collar. As if on cue, off he went, looking for Logan, to prove that he is indeed a true party animal.
Has anyone ever surprised you on your birthday before? What was the best birthday or most memorable birthday that you ever had? What makes it stand out in your memory?

I don't think surprise birthday parties at my age are the best thing since like Tabitha above I was surprised looking like I had just cleaned the stables...lol. I hope your daughter had a wonderful time and I agree, your home is stunning!

It was totally a surprise, I had no idea, everyone who meant something to me was there...and it was a memorable birthday indeed (after I got over the fact that I wish I had worn something prettier, that I wish my hair was "done",etc....you can imagine)! But after a drink or two......it was all good and a great time was had by all. Happy to see happy celebrations going on over there! Happy and healthy Thanksgiving Debby!
