The winter layers have been replaced by straw hats, flip flops, coconut scented lotion, and easy living. Beach decor should be unfussy and uncomplicated. An all white cottage, some whimsical elements, and an ever faithful golden to toss sticks to at the beach... pretty much sums up my summertime dream.
If you owned a beach cottage, (or are lucky enough to own one already), list the top three elements that would be a must in your decor.
Have a lovely weekend, Everyone! xoxo

OK, this is good.
ReplyDeleteNUMBER ONE: A Yellow Lab.
NUMBER TWO: A fireplace for the cold nights.
NUMBER THREE: A kitchen overlooking the ocean so while I spend most of the time in the kitchen, I can see the beauty.
OHHHH THIS IS SO GOOD!
I've got my eye on a straw tote and those first two images are making the desire even stronger!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely hats you have hang here on the wall.
ReplyDeleteIt's summertime!!!
Have a lovely weekend, enjoy!
Hugs for you my friend

I love that first photo, so cool and Im a big fan of hats in the summer! Have a great weekend Debby xo
ReplyDeleteThat straw bag in the first photo is what I want! I guess if I owned a beach house, I would want excellent, comfortable chairs on a patio outside facing the water; one of those outdoor fireplaces; and a kitchen window that faced the ocean....the golden would be nice as well! Have a great weekend, Debby!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Debby, your pictures are to die for!
ReplyDeleteWe owned, past tense, a beach cottage and I miss it terribly. Top 3 elements - 1) sand on your feet and the floor after spending a hard day at the beach, 2) a hammock on the front porch, and 3) white slipcovered furniture.
loving your pictures!! Nlove the polka dot swim suit & the straw hat. Makes me want to head to the beach right now now :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend

Oh! I like this question!
ReplyDeleteFor me, beach houses would need large photos of beautiful beach photography and white drapes.
My dream beach cottage has loads of windows that overlook the ocean, a deck to sit on and listen to the waves lap the shore while the world sleeps, and my favorite little poodle close by.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I'm a lucky girl and own a little house in the beach, my three essential there...tons of white, a woven hammock to lazy sunsets, and an outside dinning room...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my post this week is also about hats!!, we are in the same frequency again...it's getting rare!!!
Kisses & hugs!

ReplyDeleteOoh fun!
ReplyDelete1. Lots of natural light, both for the light in and the views out.
2. Wood floors.
3. A fireplace, because I'd visit in winter too.
Wishing you a beach house of your very own in Nantucket someday. ;)

If I owned a beach house my top element to be in the house would be ME. As often as I could!!

Sun all the time I am there, no motor traffic, sea to the front and green backdrop, the rest i can create. I am looking out at a miserable dull rainy day, pictures are so beautiful, I need to take another look to create the illusion
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what summer's like for me! I'm lucky enough to have a beach house. Essentials are my huge deck with lots of seating, white, white and more white and my beach totes, chairs and umbrella :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend. xoxo
