Color Soiree: Shades of Pumpkin

via

Happy Monday, Loves! Here's to a new week. I am happy to say my loved one is out of the hospital and doing great. Thank you all for your support and love. I'm not sure where the month of July went, but Autumn will be here before we know it. The fall foliage and vibrant pumpkins are colorful, rich, vibrant and warm. Sounds like the exact description of how I desire to live my life... Colorfully. Rich in the ways that matter. Vibrant and in the moment. Warm and open to all life has to offer.

Project Strength is now on Facebook and Twitter. You can show your support in supporting domestic and emotional abuse by following on either platform. Domestic abuse is still not always talked about. Families exposed to cruelty, fear the stigma attached with abuse, and often carry shame. In speaking out we can do our part to help empower women and their children to take their power back and reclaim their lives. Once again, thanks for all of your support and for spreading the word!

  3. I love this post...shades of pumpkin give me hope that fall is just around the corner. Unfortunately, when we go back to school, the heat gets hotter! SO, I love any hope of fall to come! I am so glad that the hospital incident has improved and I hope improvement continues at home. I will check out Project Strength pages...and have a wonderful, joyful week, Debby!!

  6. When I stop and think about it I dont think I have referred to a color as pumpkin before. I dont know why its great! I would never think to paint a house pumpkin, but that image is very impressive. With all the black trim you would think it would be the halloween house but it is far from it. I would consider using that color scheme.

  9. Good Morning Debby!

I'm loving this color, along with the patina it's so warm and definitely has me thinking fall. Our summer has been color than normal in the PNW (cloudy mornings) so I'm hoping for an Indian Summer through September.

How wonderful that you have Project Strength up and running. I read the piece this morning and it was to the point and very well written. So glad you guys are on the mend. Now you can begin to move forward, slowly heal, and put things behind you. Nature takes care of us and although the sadness and pain doesn't go away, it fades sufficiently. By creating Project Strength, you will help yourself and others. I can't think of better therapy and what a wonderful role model you are for your kids.

  14. Love this color too, reminds me of my favorite season, fall. SOOOO happy your family member is out and doing well, I know thats got to be a HUGE burden off your shoulders Debby. So proud and in awe of you and this new project and will be happy to support it and you any way that I can. You are so right....we need more awareness and to talk about it more than it is and remove the stigma for its victims. Thank you for taking a step towards doing that.

  20. I love the colour. It is the kind of colour that turns heads but is warm and inviting at the same time. It also inspires sweet nostalgia making you think of good old memories of fall.
