Come On In...Inspired Design Behind The Scenes

Busy doesn't even begin to describe life in the past couple of weeks. Instead of scouring the internet for blog-worthy photos, I thought I'd take you on a little behind-the-scenes tour, (kind of like the Back Lot Tour at Hollywood Studios, in Disney, minus the Mickey ears). Yesterday my Palamino necklace arrived from Stella + Dot. It was backordered and now I understand why it's such an in demand item. It's gorgeously crafted, and the coral and pink tones are so perfect for summertime. Do you think this is a good enough excuse for me to buy a new white dress? See how my mind is always scheming? I buy new throw pillows, and the next thing I know, the entire room needs to be repainted. Are you like that too? My taste is forever changing and evolving which is a good thing...just not good for the wallet.
(The print in the photo is part of the Paris in Sepia 2 gallery set. If you are interested in purchasing the print as a single item shoot me an email).

Here are some of my other favorite Paris prints from the shop to give you an idea of what they look like matted and framed.

You all know I like accessories. Well, to me, lighting is the final accessory in any decor. It gives the room that special oomph. Next to paint, lighting is the easiest way for a quick face lift. The O.C.D. in me wants to straighten those shades soooo bad but the foyer ceiling is too high, making my inner klutz scream, "Oh, Girl... don't do it. Head wounds bleed profusely."

The bling continues into the kitchen. What can I say? I like fancy schmancy.

Note the absence of the personal chef  and maid.... woes me. Apparently, they will be available to me in my next life, when I am born with the silver spoon in my mouth, to filthy rich parents in Paris.

And of course, the kids have an endless array of demands keeping me crazy busy. I am happy to say that after all the preparation that prom required, Logan had the the time of her young life, (which of course, is the goal after all)!
That's it. Regular programming will resume tomorrow, Folks. If you visit the Boston area be sure to let me know and I will have you visit for real! xoxo
