Color Soiree: Orange + Green

Summer is the time of the year that I like to embrace color. Legs that aren't pasty white make it easier to carry off bright colored shorts. My inspiration stems from one of my typical summer outfits. Colorful, not too over the top,  but still stylish, comfortable and fun. Pretty much fits the description of my dream home as well.

  2. My summer closet is colorful and bright, with some blacks, a few whites and lots of navy!! I wish I could afford to apply this into my house's decoration as well!

I take it up a notch, like to wear bright colors too, but not head to tie, maybe with white pants......like fun sometimes even funky jewelry, both not things that reflect my decorating style but I do feel like summers a great time to think outside the box a little and try fun new color combinations. Summer has become an even greater fav season (if that is possible)... since discovering Liliy Pulitzer dresses (thank you blog friends in the USA) ... her dresses have become an everyday go to ... comfy and no thinking required about coordinating top/bottom. Great photos..especially love the creative privacy feature on the patio photo, the shutters are brilliant! xo HHL

  7. I love that kitchen, bright and super happy! I sued to have the orange duvet cover when i was a postgrad student, shame it was a single and cant use it anymore!

  10. Such a cute look! I just love the color combo. I'm much more colorful in the summer too. A tan makes it all look so much better. But every now and again all black against a tan looks good too. I can't help it. It's the NYC girl in me :)

  12. A splash of color is perfect anytime of year, especially summertime. In the wardrobe department, a little color on the legs always helps show off colors ~ especially orange. We are still in June-gloom here in Seattle :( Thank goodness for self tanners.
