Book giveaway: Enter to win a copy of Paris in Color by Nichole Robertson.
Do you believe we are all part of a bigger plan? Do you believe we all have a purpose for our lives? Have you found yours? So many of us drudge through, day after day, not really discovering our lives purpose. Certainly, we are not here just to exist and survive.
Picture this... it's the day of your funeral, (grim, I know, but inescapable), your eulogy is being read. What do you want said about your life and the impact you left on others? Do you want a mention of a yacht and endless hours spent working (doubt it), that you were dedicated and loyal to family and friends, or maybe that you always had the ability to make everyone laugh? We have an entire lifetime to create the existence that will allow us to leave the mark we wish to make.
What would be the most the most important thing you would want said about you?

Those photos were certainly grand! As a believer in Jesus Christ, I do have a purpose and that is to let Him live in and thru me each and every day. He has chosen to let me show Him and His love to my family and those with whom I come in contact. May you see that Love today. And, Happy Mothers Day to you Debby.
ReplyDeleteI believe God created each one of us to serve a purpose and he gifted each of us in a special way. My purpose has been to teach and inspire and lead with JOY! God gifted life to me and desires me to experience it to its fullest and encourage other women to do the same...I face each day with excitement of what he has for me to do whether it is inspiring the students in my classroom, the wonderful readers of my blog and freelance writing, or my own family. He has also blessed you with amazing creativity and gifts, Debby!
ReplyDeleteI know why I'm here and that is the most peaceful thing on earth. It has nothing to do with money or a career, but with, like you said, a greater purpose. I hope it will be said that I made people happy. That's always fun to hear.
ReplyDeleteYou find the best pictures! Now that is purple done right! I feel that since I began my art journey once again that I am in the right place. I want it said that I was compassionate, loving and a great mother and wife. That I loved life and my art.
ReplyDeleteI hope that people see me as dedicated person who bring happiness, lots of smiles and comfort to people's lives. I always look on the bright side and I hope that rubs off on others.
ReplyDeleteGoregous photos, Debby. They're just stunning!
Have a great weekend :) xoxo
Debby,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love the colors in the first image.
This is a question that I try to re visit every now and then. Seems the older I get the more I ponder my life. My father is beginning the later stages of dementia and it's been a sad and eye opening experience to watch this. He is very sad and has regrets about his life. Time goes by so quickly and we are all so stressed with our busy lives, it's easy to become narrow minded and just focus on yourself. I would hope that we all strive to be productive, compassionate and caring individuals. As a mother I attempted to instill those values in my children as well.
Have a wonderful day!
This post got me very emotional and almost close to tears.
ReplyDeleteI would want mine to say that i lived life, enjoyed it and appreciated the beauty in life on a daily basis
I want to find my passion in life, i currently feel like i am just existing
