I think Ernest Hemingway said it best when he said, "Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the romance of the unusual." The only thing blocking the path of the life we want to lead is our self. When the impossible presents itself, decide how you can turn it into a probability. Don't be deterred by the bumps in the road, as there will be many. Don't listen to the people who tell you that you can't accomplish or change something, that is their insecurity speaking, not yours. Go ahead and turn those darn lemons into lemonade!
What small step are you taking today to make your dreams and goals a reality?

Love the message...something we all need to remember. I have dedicated 2012 to making it a year of "doing" not thinking or wondering....and getting the online store was one of the first things on my list, which I have done, feels great.....life is one big risk, somethings will work out, others not but I never want to be too old to do anything and look back and wonder what if..........hope you had a happy Easter Debby! Missed being around in blogland:)
ReplyDeleteGoing to the gym so I can enter my 40s feeling better than ever. Does that count? :)

Beautiful photos and words to start the week!!! Ah yes ... I think I have made more lemon aid these past few years than in my whole life prior..LOL... But through it all I am learning and taking small steps into acceptance ... the sooner we accept that what we can not change , we become free to put our energy, heart and soul into the wonderful new adventures that will emerge. (I know at times easier said than done... but I do try to remind myself often).
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful week!! Hugs, HHL
P.S. gave you and Jen a little shout out on my blog...xo
Beautiful images, and fabulous advice, Debby!!

Yes ma'am! I do agree. And when lemonade isn't sweet enough, add a little Passion Fruit Tea to it for a wonderful twist on the traditional Arnold Palmer. Sip away, and life is truly grand! ;)

ReplyDeleteLove this post Debby.....
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder that we should always have goals and objectives, and that it's never too late to make a change or start something new. Besides using a to-do list, I am determined to be more willing to put myself out there regardless of my personal insecurities.
ReplyDeleteAlso I love that skirt at the top! I'd like to get a pleated skirt but I'm concerned it will make me look hippy.. I usually go for the more tailored look to hold everything in :)
I want to be this girl!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that Shakespeare quote xo
"Don't listen to the people who tell you that you can't accomplish or change something, that is their insecurity speaking, not yours"... wow that is going on my bulletin board... AMAZING! It is so true, the greatest gift you will ever receive is the gift of loving and believing in yourself. Debby you are so talented! your image arrangements are matched with the perfect words that never fail to strike curiosity, wonder, and inspiration!
