Oh, heart be still... I am completely swooning over this preppy wedding shoot I came across in Southern Weddings. The photography by Bryan Johnson is brilliant. This just became my all time favorite wedding shoot. What do you think of the striped bridesmaid dresses? Do you adore them as much as I do or would you opt for a more traditional look?

The bridesmaid dresses are adorable and something they can wear again instead of being stuck in a closet forever. Of course it helps that the girls are adorable too.

ReplyDeleteSouthern Weddings Magazine is the MOST beautiful wedding publication! When my daughter was married almost two years ago, we bought 100 plus wedding mags.(she was still in college so engaged for two years) Southern Weddings Magazines and 6 Martha Stewart's Weddings were all that we kept. SW's publisher, Lara Casey is an angel on earth. Check out her life changing movement, Making Things Happen http://mth2011.tumblr.com/

If I had to do it over again - This is exactly what I would do - NOT traditional anything!
ReplyDeleteI am realllllllly hoping when my sons get married their brides want something like this! If not , I will keep my mouth shut and go with what they want! But it will be so hard! ( :

ReplyDeleteby the other day. To answer your qeustion I am on the eastcoast but southeast. When
my husband and I were visiting one of our favorite cities of the south Charleston
I remarked that one day I would love to have an entrance with roses and creeping fig.
He never forgot that and todaya I have my wish.Love the freshness on your site.
I love this shoot too! So unique and personal. I love how they tied the dresses to the table linens to the striped tie on the gentleman. Such great ideas. I would have loved to have had a striped dress when I was a bridesmaid!
