It's In The Details

It's the little details that turn something ordinary into something fabulous. A perfectly drawn cat eye, a gorgeous pair of earrings, a beautiful blue oven, (oh, heart be still), everyday paper napkins substituted for fine linens, or a thank you note penned in an elegant calligraphy.

When we treat ourselves to pretty little details we feel special.  When we go the extra mile and include special details in relation to others, we make them feel appreciated and a bit more cherished.  Do you notice the details?  How do you add that special little something to your day and the lives of loved ones?

  6. Love your thoughts here!! I think in order to make each day special we should seek to add one little special detail...even if it is drinking coffee from a cherished antique cup or decorating the table for just a weekday dinner or lighting a candle while we dress for work...life is short, ENJOY!

  9. Brilliant photos!! That furniture piece turned island priceless!!! Yes, the small details and simplicity of living are heart felt. We (I) use linen napkins for everyday use, not just special occasions; there are no plates for special occasions, everyday is special and the good crystal also gets used. In such a disposable world we are living in... it's nice to not be so disposable in our everyday tasks. Great post! xo Celia (HHL)

  10. I think life is in the details.
I didn't even notice the rad blue oven because I was obsessing over those cool pendant lights.
I love her freckles in the first one, she's adorably cute. I had a face full of freckles as a child but they disappeared - wait no, they are age spots now :)
