It's the little details that turn something ordinary into something fabulous. A perfectly drawn cat eye, a gorgeous pair of earrings, a beautiful blue oven, (oh, heart be still), everyday paper napkins substituted for fine linens, or a thank you note penned in an elegant calligraphy.
When we treat ourselves to pretty little details we feel special. When we go the extra mile and include special details in relation to others, we make them feel appreciated and a bit more cherished. Do you notice the details? How do you add that special little something to your day and the lives of loved ones?

Oh i do, it's the little things in life that make me happy.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's also the little things that annoy me most!
that is the truth!
DeleteI definitely notice the little details that make such a big impact. I can spend forever choosing the right accessories whether to wear or for the home. I love that oven!!

A lot of people think you need to be rich to live well when in fact it's the little details that we do that make us live well. Like a linen napkin over paper. Love these images Debby you always have the best!

Beautiful images...the details are a telling stories...would it be with furniture, clothes, design or our approach to life
ReplyDeleteLittle details make everyone's lives more cheerful and all in all more beautiful, no matter what some may think
ReplyDeleteLove your thoughts here!! I think in order to make each day special we should seek to add one little special detail...even if it is drinking coffee from a cherished antique cup or decorating the table for just a weekday dinner or lighting a candle while we dress for work...life is short, ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you, Debby! It's the little extras that make a world of difference. And that's one of the most gorgeous cat eye I've ever seen. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post! It is all in the details. Your images are lovely, Debbie!! I do wish I could replicate that cat eye!!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photos!! That furniture piece turned island priceless!!! Yes, the small details and simplicity of living are heart felt. We (I) use linen napkins for everyday use, not just special occasions; there are no plates for special occasions, everyday is special and the good crystal also gets used. In such a disposable world we are living in... it's nice to not be so disposable in our everyday tasks. Great post! xo Celia (HHL)
ReplyDeleteI think life is in the details.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the rad blue oven because I was obsessing over those cool pendant lights.
I love her freckles in the first one, she's adorably cute. I had a face full of freckles as a child but they disappeared - wait no, they are age spots now :)
I love the little details -they are the finishing touch that make things extra special. :)
ReplyDeletetotally obsessed with that kitchen!
ReplyDeleteLove this! So true, it's all about the little things.
