Happy Saturday! So are you going out on the town this weekend and bringing out your inner bombshell? Me? I'll be picking up my son in Rhode Island, most liking cooking and catching up on blogs I've missed. No bombshell moments for me but I did manage to squeeze in a heavenly pedicure with my daughter yesterday afternoon... bliss. What makes you feel like a bombshell? Is it a leisurely bubble bath? A little black dress? Smokey cat eye? Sultry fragrance?
Here is what does it for me:
Fresh highlights - the power of color never ceases to amaze me.
A sexy cat eye. I love Stila smudge pots in black. They are easy to use with an angle brush and they don't budge.
An oldie but a goodie is Neutrogena Rainbath Body Oil. Not greasy but gives your skin a fabulous glow.
Fabulous lashes. My pick is Laura Mercia Full Blown Mascara. Lush and long but not clumpy and the color is not a fake black.
A beautiful shade of lipstick. For spring I've been loving Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Lipstick in #26 Rose Libertin. The color stays true and it goes on nice and smooth and isn't a bit drying.
What are your bombshell picks? We all want to know!

This is so dreamy. Well cut and fitted clothes make me feel fabulous, and gorgeous shoes :) I've never felt like a bombshell though, it's just not a term I think of or can imagine relating to myself. Your weekend sounds like it's going to be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Debby....No real "bombshell" moments for me this weekend....I could definitely use a pedicure though!!! Taking a short road trip...and probably just hanging out....maybe a good movie!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your wekend!!!

You know what you have inspired me to do something for ME today. I am going to get a pedicure and then take a loooong bath. Its pouring rain here and will be all day and I have decided to fight the urge to get work done and make it a chill kind of day, I have earned it. A long leisurely bubblebath is the next best thing to a weekend escape with a lit candle and pure silence, that is heaven for me. We have a dinner party to go to tonight but truthfully I wish we were just bunkering down for the weekend and not going anywhere....party pooper that I am:) When its yucky out, I love staying in. Wishing you a wonderful and relaxing weekend Debby.
ReplyDeleteNo bombshell moments for me... but pampering my house this weekend! Bundle up, as it's chilly in Rhode Island!!! You are in my neck of the woods, my friend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful week-end ahead ... for me wearing clothes from my closet that actually fit, these days, makes me feel like a BOMBSHELL ... it's interesting how our life detours often change for us what we enjoy, give importance too and no longer worry about.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying the simpler things (without giving up quality ... just less of these things). Wishing you a fabulous and blessed week-end..xo HHL
P.S. ~ a try to have fresh cut flowers in our home at all times ... even if just a stem or two in a vase. xo
What are my bombshell picks?, Two or three drops of Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia Parfum from Estee Lauder...it makes me feel like Marilyn Monroe!
ReplyDeleteHave the best weekend, Debbie!
Big hugs!

Thank you for the lipstick recommendation. I've been looking for a nice shade for Spring/Summer ;-)
ReplyDeleteFor me, my "bombshell" moments include:-
* a leisurely bubble bath while relaxing with Jo Malone candles
* a hot stone massage
* a mani and pedi
* a hair treatment (if possible with Kerastase products)
Have a lovely weekend Debby xx
I LOVE your beauty tips....I must find that mascara because I use black, but Cover Girl just isn't working for me anymore; it is TOO black! Hmmmm.....I am no a bombshell! But I do pattern my attire after AUDREY Hepburn. Being slight, dark-haired and simple, I think her style fits me best, but if I had a place to go, I would take on the HOLLY GOLIGHTLY attire of Breakfast at Tiffanys in a heartbeat!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE! Anita
I love the YSL lipsticks - and pedicures are heaven :) My daughter and I did that a couple weeks ago. There's something about getting a foot massage that is SOOO relaxing!
ReplyDelete..and about the bomb shell look.. those eye lashes! ooh-la-la! I think I try that tonight (it's my husbands birthday) Lol!
I cannot even tell you how much I appreciate the formality of the 60's, and the 1st image just multiplies this feeling. Beautiful hair, long long eyelashes, dark eyeshadow which I wear every single day, lip gloss, jewelry, jewelry, jewelry, jewelry, beautifully manicured hands & feet, a finished polished look in my daily ensemble. Not too much to ask is it?

Oh, lashes always do it for me!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun this weekend. I love when your family is all together. I swear you have the best kids.
Beautiful girl! Love all the images. Have fun with your son...
ReplyDeleteWhen I've gotten the perfect blowdry (unfortunately not that easy to achieve) and my hair is smooth, a little bouncy, and with the perfect amount of body... it makes me feel like I could conquer the world! :)
ReplyDeletehello to you too ;)
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are naturally slanted and I've been doing the cat eye since high school so it's gonna suck when this "trend" fades because I'll still do what I've always done. However I do it more exaggerated now :-)
