A Woman's Prerogative To Change Her Mind

via
Call me fickle, but these lovely rooms have me re-thinking my adamant exclamations that I could not live in a home void of color. Especially if the stunning kitchen (excuse me while I wipe the drool from my mouth), and cute dog were part of the deal!

Being a dog lover, I'm always instantly drawn to decor photos where there's a pooch lounging about. I'm a sucker for babies... toddlers... dogs... Oh, yeah, I'm gonna stop you on the street and coo and gush. Newborn? It takes tremendous restraint not to lift that precious bundle right out of the car seat and start singing lullabies. What makes you swoon and gush and utterly act like a fool?

  1. Debby, I am right there with you on the babies, I feel like such an oldie when I see them because suddenly I remind myself of those "older women" who used to stop ME when my kids were babies..and now I am one of them, I seriously turn to mush around a cute baby! Don't even get me started......lol. And when it comes to living in a beige/off white home..yep think I could do it and when you present it as you did above, its a resounding YES!

  2. babies! totally... they are the most precious pieces of innocent, hopeful little humans... little girls that look like ballerinas can never escape from my compliments neither!

  3. Babies and dogs ... I am seriously worried I might become one of those old ladies that lives with 20 dogs because I cannot stand to see one mistreated or abandoned! The creams in this home are perfect. I think the thing that makes it work is all the texture, the island, the little table by the bathtub. It is monochromatic but not flat.

  4. I love how the dog matches the house!! Such a clean beautiful look...but for some reason color makes me feel comfortable and lived in!!

  6. Babies, dogs and these swoon worthy pictures! I think I need to stop looking at blogs or I will never get my home fully decorated. I see picture after picture and change my mind endlessly about the direction I want to go!

    Enjoy your day!

  7. Gorgeous home, Debby! I love the neutral here too, but after a while, pops of color would be showing up, which is how I like to decorate.
    Have a nice Monday.

  10. Scoot over....I'm moving in! :) What a drop dead gorgeous home! Since I'm in the middle of renovating, I'm constantly second guessing and wanting every picture I see. Wow...love everything about these photos, including the precious pooch.

I'm a complete sucker for little girls, as I don't have any of my own. I love seeing them in tutus, sparkly shoes, hair in ribbons or in ponytails, just enjoy being girly!

    Happy Monday, Debby!
    xoxo Elizabeth

  16. Wow, we have such similar taste! I love these photos although I am always a color girl too! My best friend has a beautiful home that is all neutrals and I love it but I always thought I had to have color. These pictures are making me rethink that! Hmm...... Also, my adult daughters are so tired of me drooling over everyone's babies and small children. They don't get it yet because they don't have any of their own, yet! Have a great day!

We are planning our next phase of renovations (actually an extension) and I loved the one in the post below - but this one, has my heart!! and that laundry room with a doggie shower Stella and Dolce would love bathing at home!! Happy Tuesday my friend...xo HHL

P.S. I could never choose just one colour.xo

  22. It absolutely is a woman's prerogative to change her mind! My room is yellow at the moment and all these pale and pretty pictures have me considering a more alabaster slant to things. I am a sucker for photos with cats or dogs, especially pugs or westies!
