Ringing In The New Year Glamorously

via
How was your Christmas? I spent yesterday taking down my tree with it's sad drooping branches and nursing the remains of a head cold. As much as I enjoy Christmas it is always a bit of a relief when it's over. Time to start planning New Year's celebrations and decide on resolutions. How do you plan on ringing in the New Year? Are you heading out on the town or do you prefer to entertain in the cozy confines of home?

  1. Glamarous images here today. Adore the first image, the chanel lipstick and the divine decor.

  2. We always go out for dinner but then home early with a good movie. I never make resolutions though I figure why set myself up by giving myself a failure. I do plan on getting several things done around our home this year and very excited!

  3. I am with you, Debby! Once Christmas is over, it is time to move on! As for resolutions, I am too tired to handle that massive task today, lol.
Beautiful images here with plenty of glamour.
I hope that you feel better.

  5. Only you can deliver the glam like this...with SO MUCH BEAUTY! And you know, I like your idea of taking down the tree immediately. When school starts back up for me next Tuesday, I will be too busy to clean this house!

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEARS!!! Anita

  6. Love the glamorous and elegant vibe depicted here......well I normally wait to take down my tree a week or so, part of it is not quite wanting the season to be over and the other part if sheer laziness:)
Have plenty of resolutions and goals for 2012 and as far as what we are doing, well its going to be a low key event, normally we are away but this year fingers crossed we may start moving this weekend, if not we are invited to a friends house, I don't get hung up on new years eve like I did when I was 25, as long as I have my family with me, thats enough for me!

  7. Love the purple in the decor! I think I'm enlisting the help of the kids to put the Christmas decorations away today. Like you, Debby, I was relieved to have it over. Love it, but it seems to come around way too fast these days! New Year's Eve will be low key and spent with family in SC.

  14. Beautiful photos! The Chanel lipstick color is a classic and the heals are lovely, although I don't think I could wear them for a New Years Eve party (feet are feeling swollen). No party plans for New Years Eve - I am partied out. A fun movie, soup on the stove - that's it for us.

  16. I'm going to have a glam new years at home with my close friends. One of my friends is attending the French Culinary Institute and she's going to plan the menu and cook us a fabulous meal at our apartment. All I have to do is get dressed up and let her use my kitchen. How fabulous is that? :)

Hope you're feeling all better now, Debby! xoxo

  18. You INSPIRE and I ASPIRE :) The first photo has me thinking I may just lose those 20 lbs, add a few hair extensions and eyelashes, have a Chanel makeover and plan a super glamourous dinner out...by this time next year! Yeah, it's possible :) This year we attend our friends annual party - drinking, dining and dancing the New Year in.

p.s. what we really need is to love ourselves no matter what and to surround ourselves with people who love us too.

  20. We had a great Christmas and our leaving our tree up until New Year's Day. I'm not ready to part with the beautiful glow of the lights! We're having a small New Year's Eve dinner party. I hope you feel better! I'm at the tail end of a nasty cold myself. What are your plans to ring in 2012?

  21. This New Years will be cozy one in. The only thing that could pursuade me to go out would be those Prada heels! Lots of joy to you this holiday season Debby! xo
