Idyllic Country

via
Sometimes there is just no place like the country to unwind and slow down the pace. Fresh air, fresh perspective and organic farm grown food. All that's needed is a girl's favorite four legged friend to ride shotgun! When was the last time you visited the countryside?

  1. Debby, love this and as you know I am just a little obsessed with the country lately! Somehow the older I am getting the more I crave and love that lifestyle! I dream of one day owning a small farmhouse that I can fix up, growing a beautiful garden, leading a genteel and quiet life....sounds good on paper, probably will never happen, LOL. But one can dream! I hope to go in the spring to a big antiques show in Vermont! Beautiful images and love the one of that salad, I could live on a caprese salad, my favorite. Happy New Years Eve, hoping 2012 will be the best year yet, cheers!

  5. This is beautiful, no matter where we are in our lives, we always crave the country. My husband and I live in the woods but there is something about taking a ride to the country and seeing the open spacious wheat fields and rolling green hills with that one white house right in the middle of it. Happy New Year, very inspirational post. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

  7. I could definitely take a few months of the beautiful picture of country living that you have painted. My beautiful pup, a gorgeous vegetable garden, a roaring fireplace and an endless supply of books...sign me up :)
I am very fortunate that my best friend's Mum lives out in the bush and we get to visit her once a year. As soon as I drive into town I just relax and feel at home - I think I need another visit soon!
