The Writings On The Wall

Do you love this wall as much as I do? We all need to be reminded to risk more... happiness, love, success, and dreams cannot be reached without any risk. When we put ourselves out there and reach for something there is always a chance of failure, a broken heart, rejection or disappointment. When we allow ourselves to imagine that we can be more, have more and expect more we decide the risk of going after what it is our heart desires overpowers the regret we will have if we do not try. There is pain in stagnation, sameness and settling for safety. What is the biggest risk you ever took?

  3. I love the Coco Chanel quote...I am always telling my children to be different, but that is hard. I spent my entire childhood trying to blend in and now as an adult I am trying to be different.
    Happy Sunday

  5. I would love to have this wall in my classroom and your words are so perfect...could not add to it...but agree with all of it!! My post today is about seeing Tim Gunn yesterday and he gave a similar talk. He told me that there is no better time to go for your dreams that over 50...that was when he was tapped for Project Runway! Hear! Hear!!

  9. Uhm. My biggest risk...moving to a city where I knew no one and going to school...and then taking some time off of school! It's pretty crazy for me to do that, but hopefully it will work out! :)

  12. First of all I love the black beams!! The biggest risk I took was marrying my husband 22 years ago...our relationship wasn't perfect even back then. But through all our ups and downs I know deep down we are meant to be together. I've learned that life is not always about happily ever after but working hard every single day to make the life you have work the best way for you and your family. And the stuff you don't like forces you to become a better, kinder and more selfless person!
