No but I probably should, I have a lot going on just now and tend to focus on the negative, I need to try to find some positives. Ah my mum's 90th birthday dinner next month - I am enormously grateful for that.
Beautiful pictures! I never have kept a gratitude journal... But I think it is a great idea and perhaps I shall start one. I do lay in bed each night and thank God for the blessings of the day before I fall asleep. Hugs~
I have kept a gratitude journal but I wasn't very good at remembering to write in it :) I count my blessings every day and sometimes I feel to blessed I well up with tears. At night I ask my husband what he was grateful for that day and I am always surprised by his answer.
First of all, I love the photography! I should take more time to reflect on things I'm grateful for in life. I'm grateful for my husband, family, close friends and the life we have. :-)
Beautiful post! And it's exactly what I have been thinking of these past few days, as I've begun reading the book, "One Thousand Gifts"... the author on a dare decided to begin to daily write down what she is thankful for, and it caused her to SEE the smallest blessings and changed her heart. So often we focus on what we don't have or wished we had or just rush about our day without truly seeing the beauty.
My morning blog time is like a touch of grace in my life, beholding the beauty that each one sees and shares.
I have so much to be thankful for. First of all I'm thankful to God for everything he has blessed me with, my family, friends, our health, and being able to do the work that I love to do, and the list goes on and on! Hope you have a blessed day! hugs~~~ Daphne
I kept a gratitude journal for over two years and for some reason just stopped it over the summer I need to go pick it up again!! Love the telephone, much more appealing than an iphone for decor! :) brett
What a visually beautiful post. Love it.... Never kept a gratitude journal but not a day goes by (even on those really really lousy days) that I don't give thanks for all the blessings that have been bestowed upon me. One flick of a switch to watch the news is a sober reminder of how many people are suffering not only in our country with record number of poverty but abroad. Beautiful and thought provoking post!
Gorgeous images as always. I don't keep a journal, but I am always mindful of my blessings in life. I truly live life appreciating my health, my family, my friends, my experiences and while remaining mindful of those who suffer in one form or another. Life is to be celebrated. It is our role to look for goodness and appreciate what we have and not dwell on what we don't.
Today I'm grateful for these gorgeous images you posted and some things I bought and the idea of meeting friends tomorrow at a café. That's a good list, isn't it ;-)
Debby, This is such a timely post. I am grateful for so much right now...and I feel like I am tuned in, in a way I never have been before. I am grateful for health, the recovery of my son, the outpouring of friends, including my blogging family.
I've never kept a gratitude journal...but I'm thinking it's time I start! xoxo Elizabeth
This is such a beautiful post. I try to be grateful everyday so the beauty of life will take up so much room in my brain I won't have time to focus on the negative! xo Sharon
This is a really beautiful post, Debby! I have kept a gratitude journal for many years and write in it each morning. I have found it to be a very positive way to start each day. Some days if I wake up on the wrong side of the bed I am quickly grounded and things are put into perspective once I jot down a few things I have to be grateful for. Today I am grateful for my family, friends, my health, having a roof over my head and having food on my table. I am grateful to have met you, Debby.
Gorgeous photos! I love this post-I need to keep a gratitude journal because there's so much in this life to be grateful for! Thank you for posting this beautiful inspiration!
