Good morning Everyone! There was definitely a nip in the air this weekend. The leaves are changing along with the temperatures which means cozying up in front of a fire wrapped up in a warm throw is just around the corner.
There is something about sitting in front of a fire that is so relaxing and comforting. Cozy fires, fragrant bubble baths, peppermint tea with a touch of honey... all soothe the senses and provide a moment of serenity. What small things really relax you?

Autumn is upon and I can't wait for the fruits of the season. I adore apple picking for example. Would so love to be by that inviting fireplace now, but I shall keep the image in mind as I board my flight;-)
ReplyDeleteI love sitting by the fire reading!I'd nearly light it now after looking at that fab picture!!

ReplyDeleteIt was really nippy her last night, my apples are just about ready for picking.
ReplyDeleteA walk on a cool brisk morning, making lots of comfort foods, apple picking, fall foliage picture taking, taking Teddy outside for a catch, its the little things that mean a lot this time of year.
ReplyDeletePretty rooms with those lovely hits of earthy orange. I love fireplaces and the smell of apple pie made with fall's first apples :)

ReplyDeleteOh how I wish we had a nip in the air here in Phoenix. At least the punishing part of the heat is over. Music relaxes me, and being outside near water.
ReplyDeleteSitting by a fire, curled up with a good book and a cup of tea ... is perfect!! We still have not installed our (wood burning) fireplace ... but I can't wait (unfortunately it may not be this year) ... but sitting all nice in warm on the sofa looking out the French doors to our property is heaven.! xo HHL
ReplyDeleteAn outdoor table by the lake sounds absolutely perfect. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI would love to curl up in that bed! Love the linen sheets and the pumpkin colored throw.

Deb-by!! How are you holding up with your oldest at college? I hope you're curled up by the fireplace with a good book, my friend. xoxo-C

One of the things I have missed the most during my little break....are your stunning posts! It's a little dreary outside my window today, but this has me ready to order the firewood and grab a sweater. As a child, summer had no equal. As an adult...fall is my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs for all your support, Debby!!!
xoxo Elizabeth
I'm all bundled up as we speak! As much as I love summer, there's too many things about Fall that I love that makes me think that perhaps this is my fave season :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, I wish I had a fireplace. That first picture makes me hmmm :) but I can easily have breakfast in bed :) i started my fall with a home peek post as well if you have the time to check.
ReplyDeleteLoving all this fabulous fall inspiration, Debby. Autumn and Spring are my favourites & I'm currently loving the Spring sunshine down here in Oz.
