Dress to Decor: Darling Details

The inspiration: Delicate touches that prove that beauty is in the details.

collage, 1-4, 5

How is your week going? I could use a double dose of prettiness this morning and these images are certainly providing me with some much needed inspiration. It has been a bit nuts around here, between getting my son ready for college in a few short weeks, (22 days till he leaves me... sigh).  Also, my elderly dog being diagnosed with Cushings disease, (he's now been dubbed "Mr. Cushings" and I swear he is milking it so I'll make him meatballs). Wouldn't it figure that this is the time that my Kuerig machine decides to stop working? Seriously? Me minus coffee? Not pretty. I would shoot caffeine intravenously if I could.

Beauty really is in the details. Whether it's in the form of a delicately iced cake, stenciled clawfoot tub, beautifully wrapped package, or a Kuerig k-cup, (kidding), ... there is beauty to be found everywhere.
You just have to look. The most beautiful thing I saw this week? It was a photo taken by Lisa of, Latte Lisa, of a cute little elderly couple who she has become quite fond of. They spend their days at the park and still seem to be so in love. If we could all be so lucky. Theirs sounds like a beautiful romance.

  18. Yes, beauty, like love,is all in the details. I was going to comment on that building facade and how hard it is to send your child off to college but all I can think about is your dog. Very sorry to hear this Deb. Hope it is a treatable low pain thing.

  21. You really are having one of those weeks!! Wish I could run my Keurig over to you!!! I don't do well without my coffee either! :)

I feel like I'm in transition this weekend, as the little one finished camp today and big boy comes home next week, followed by my brother's family's visit. Lots to do, but I'm not feeling rushed. That's probably b/c it's Friday, my favorite day of the week.

Sending you hugs - wish I could send coffee!

How sweet of you Debby to mention my blog today, what a wonderful surprise to come here and read that.

Maybe I'll have to post a photo of the adorable couple, they seem to make everyone happy.

Sorry about the coffee machine and the dog. Life without coffee is ... OK, I have no words for that!
