Dress to Decor: Pattern Play & Winner Announcement

The inspiration: A bouquet of patterns.... gingham, stripes and polka dots mixed with a dose of summertime sweetness.

These lovely prints are whispering promises of waking up to sunlight streaming through the bedroom window, lazy afternoons lost in a great book, iced tea with fresh lemon wedges and homemade potato salad.... yes, summertime is the best time.

Speaking of great books... any suggestions? I need to hit the bookstore. My lounge chair is calling my name.

The winner of the Ikat Scarf giveaway from Zhush chosen by random.org is Kristin from Bringing Pretty Back! Enjoy, Kristin!

  7. Awesome photography! I'm in to reading books about France now, what about "French women for all seasons" (a book about how the french women take care of their silhouette, recipes and more) I really liked that one. What about "A pedestrian in Paris, the most beautiful walk in the world" from John Baxter, I recently started that one and haven't finished yet. I have other books about American people moving to France and telling their stories, don't know if you like those, I find them great.

  9. A fun summery post! Gingham always reminds me of summer. I love that red lipstick, too. The bed is beautiful. I would never have thought to mix all those patterns but I love it! I just bought The Help to read. It came highly recommended to me.
