Color Soiree: Beautiful Blue & Beige

via 1, 2+3, 4-7
Did my fellow Americans enjoy the long holiday weekend? We are having a bit of a staycation which is exactly what is needed. Between finding the perfect lounge chairs for our deck, and switching out our phones for iphones... there has been lots of grilling, reading, and countless episodes of Lost being watched, (I am one of the few who never saw it). I hope to squeeze in a visit to Kennebunkport for some Maine lobster, take in the sights and sounds at Fanieul Hall Marketplace, and possibly squeeze in a Red Sox game. The best part? I get to sleep in my own bed which guarantees comfiness!

What would you do on a staycation?

  4. First of all, BLUE with almost any color is stunning. Secondly, I STAYED HOME and read, napped and just took in all the beauty of one of the prettiest summers days here in Minneapolis. OH! And I ate watermelon and enjoyed every drip of sticky juice on my face. ENJOY DEAREST! Anita

  15. What divine photos! Is there anything more decadent than extra sleep in your own bed?
We enjoyed the evening, just my Sweetie and I, grilling turkey burgers topped with mushrooms and crumbled blue cheese; homemade potato salad and Coronas. Then a romantic walk thru our subdivision to watch fireworks in the field nearby (and more beer in a thermos! LOL!) We came home and watched more fireworks on TV, with a midnight snack of walnut brownies. Don't ya just love a good staycation?

I am a huge fan of the staycation, which I am enjoying until the very last week of August. To me, this is the best months of the year in my little town.

And....I scrolled down...love the makeup makeover. I SO need to do that too!
