One of my goals when I started blogging was to someday reach 1000 readers. I honestly have to say I was just as thrilled when I hit 10. It's amazing how a little thing like starting a blog allows you to connect with so many kindred spirits. I now have friends all over the world... amazing. I started blogging by accident, and looking back, I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I just never felt "heard." Thanks to all of you who supported me along this journey and for validating that it's important to have a voice and for helping me to find mine. For that I will always be grateful. So today what I really want to celebrate is YOU! Love you guys. xoxo
Now I want to know... What made you start blogging and why do you continue to do so?

Good morning dear heart....I started when my sister in law mentioned she started one. I would visit her every morning, just enchanted. THEN...I saw that BLOGGER BUTTON that said, START YOUR OWN BLOG. I pushed the button and it literally changed my life. Learning to write for an audience, finding crafts, lifestyle ideas and fashion was a whirlwind of excitement but the best part? YOU ALL.

1000, wowee!
ReplyDeleteWell I was going through a very tough time and felt very isolated and alone in the world and starting a blog and interacting with people really kept me going through the darkness and I surprised myself by being disciplined enough to write every day even when I was in tears and sitting in my Jim jams.
oh, so lovely and you very much speak my mind! I agree, it is a fabulous way to get your inspirations and your interested out there and find similar people who enjoy the same things you do all over the planet! have a lovely weekend, and more wonderful blogging years to come! xoxo

Congrats to you! I started blogging just as a creative outlet. Growing up I always thought it would be nice to work for a magazine so this is ever so slightly my own little publication. I just have to make more time for it!
ReplyDeleteSO excited for you, congratulations friend! You are certainly heard now :)
ReplyDeleteI started blogging for many reasons. I missed writing, had so many photographs left over from college (photography major), and was starting a new business I wanted to advertise. Now it is something more. I feel too busy to blog as much as before but I find miss all my new friends. I'm very happy you blog and I found you. Here's to your next 1000!
Blogging changes things for those of us that do it. The world really opens up when you start a blog. It has changed things for me too and I am loving it. Now I just want to get to where you are...1000 followers! :)

ReplyDeleteLovely dress! I started because I needed to share my fashion view and I wanted to participate and comment as blogger in other blogs... Kisses and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! What a wonderful feeling it must be... I'm looking forward to the day I reach 1000, too.
ReplyDeleteI started blogging as part of my speech therapy, just over a year ago. To help re-delevope my writing and communication skills. I have continued because it helps to keep my mind working and also helps re-develop other skills like organizing and planning. Blogging for me has become a good instrument in my therapy rehab - after accident.
What has made this journey work and possible is truly the wonderful people (including yourself) I have been able to connect with. The encouragement, support, laughs and sometimes tears has all inspired me in many ways.
Wishing you a wonderful day !!! xo HHL

ReplyDeleteWell, I had started my food blogs but there were of course things I could not post on them so I needed another outlet and I definitely don't regret it. It's fun and getting to know all these wonderful bloggers out there is the best part.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching 1000! How wonderful. I started blogging as a way of releasing all the wonderful inspiration I kept coming across out of my head & onto a space where I could see it all whenever I wanted to. Now I adore it as well as pinning constantly on pinterest!!

Debby,
ReplyDeleteCongratuations!!!! 1000 is a huge milestone and confirmation that you're on the right path. I think we all appreciate it when we feel "heard"...but you make it easy to want to pull up in a comfy chair and see what you are "thinking"!!!
I think I started blogging because I felt like being a part of a conversation that I was witnessing but wasn't happening in my offline life. I continue because of connections, such as mine with you, that make me feel a part of a world outside of the one I walk in.
xoxo Elizabeth
