Far Far Away

Yesterday was one of those days.  It started with a phone call at 5 in the morning from the school district saying there was a two hour delay due to ice.  Chaos ensued as the kids were involved in a minor fender bender, (thankfully, neither of my kids or their friends got hurt.... praise to the big guy upstairs).  I had to help a friend who was emotionally distraught.  You know those types of days... we have all been there.
It got me fantasizing about running away and renting a little cottage in the English countryside, (think Cameron Diaz in, The Holiday).  Just a cozy cottage, no phone, a toasty fire, and a cute European car to roam the open roads.
I'm packing... who wants to come?

  7. This is such a scary thing with kids on the road. i always worry about mine who have been in quite a few fender bender and in an instance a miracle he survived and walked out with just bad bruises. It was not his time.
Stay safe, enjoy your "fantasy" time in this wonderful cottage. Would love to pop in for tea!

  14. I saw the pic of the house and it made me miss home. That is my absolute favorite style of British home (well, second favorite after the large abandoned estate....both need to be a bit hidden).
