There is nothing like finding a book that you just can't put down. I can't remember the last time I found a book that truly moved me. What do you recommend? Is there a book that really spoke to you? I would love to hear your absolute favorite.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Books...and that last home library is a dream..would love to have a space in my home like that..great post lovely x
ReplyDeleteGreat inspiration! I just adore books and think the best way to decorate a room is to fill it up with books :)
ReplyDeleteI just couldn't possibly pick a favorite, it changes and I read all types of books. There are the classics like the standard Pride and Prejudice, the Sci-Fi Fantasy types like The Traveler series (addictive), the inspirational like A Million Miles in a Thousand years and so on. I liked A Million Miles so much I bought several copies and gave them as gifts as I finished it because I liked it so much. It's probably a nice read to start the new year. Also Devil in the White city, loved that one too.
ReplyDeleteI cant pick a fav either....but I think its the last room:)

ReplyDeletethe Necklace by Cheryl Jarvis .. its a true story of one woman's dream and 13 women who together made it happen... If you haven't read it , I hope you give it a try...xo HHL
Love this last image, Debby! I haven't taken the time to read a book I want to read in a while. I do spend time reading decor books.

That top room is so gorgeous and cozy and amazingly beautiful that it might kill me. LOVE IT. As for books, it's one of my favorite topics, as I was an English major in undergrad and then went to grad school for creative writing. Totally depends on your taste . . . but I'd recommend A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving for anyone, Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant by Anne Tyler, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole if you like a good laugh, and Anais Nin's diaries if you're feeling romantic. :) Plus so many more! But that's a start. :)
ReplyDeletePillars of the earth! Very good book- There are a few amazing books that I blogged about as well- under the literature tab on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYou might enjoy seeing the library project I did:

Love these gorgeous images, especially the quilt on the ottoman!
ReplyDeleteLove books - and especially love that last image! I wish I had a room just for books!
ReplyDeleteI think Blogger would crash if I would name all the books I've read and loved ;-)
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago I read a book that really surprised me and I find myself thinking about it all the time. It's by Robin Jenkins, who was Scottish, and the book is called 'The Changeling' - amazing storytelling without fancy words.
'Atonement' by Ian McEwan was also I book I couldn't put down. I really enjoyed the film too but the book is a masterpiece.
Oh Debby I do love a good book...I'm reading Pilgrim's Progress again right now and it is wonderful!!
ReplyDeletexo,

A great book that I read about a year ago was "The Help". I'd love to curl up in any of those spots with a good book.
ReplyDeleteHave you read the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo or the Outlander series? I'm on the final book of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy and I love it! And the Outlander series is my all time favorite books xo
ReplyDeleteBooks add so much warmth to a room and show off your personality and interests. Big fan of books in interiors.
